Marc Ganetakos has written short film scores (CBC), several TV themes (CHCH), jingles (Amnesty Intl., Rogers Home Phone). Marc has also been composing and producing original music in multiple genres for Bell Media since 2020.
Marc’s first orchestral work was performed live at World Youth Day, Toronto (2002). While Marc’s creative focus for several years has been scoring film & tv productions, he is a renowned session multi-instrumentalst and producer of music artists in all genres (orchestral, electronic, funk, blues, rock, country, folk, pop, grunge, indie, etc.)
Marc Ganetakos was invited to join legendary Canadian jazz fusion rock band “Lighthouse” as lead guitarist/vocalist in 2022. As a full-time composer, Marc describes performing with Lighthouse as “moonlighting as a rock star”.

As a member of Lighthouse, Marc Ganetakos performed with Lighthouse when they received their Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 SOCAN Awards and was later inducted into the Canadian Walk Of Fame with all Lighthouse bandmembers past and present in 2023. “These awards are for the longtime members of the band. It was a gift to be invited to join one of our country’s most innovative music groups and it’s always an honour to perform their incredible music”.

Marc’s previous performance history includes Nelly Furtado (guitar/banjo/mandolin), Ashley Macisaac (guitar) and serving as a multi-instrumentalist for a variety of theatrical and production shows in some of Canada’s premiere live music venues (Toronto’s Royal Alexandra and Ed Mirvish Theatres, Niagara Falls Fallsview Casino and OLG Stage).
